
Stephanie Sigman, a Mexican-American actress. Her breakout role was in Miss Bala (2011), the Mexican crime-drama film. She then appeared in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). On TV, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both series. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico, to her Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. Through her father Sigman, she's a U.S. citizen. The brother of her, the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman, was once engaged to actress Barbara Mori Sigman began her career as a TV actress on Mexican television, before making her debut on film in Rio de Oro. She played the principal role in Laura Guerrero (Miss Bala) in the Mexican crime drama. The film was chosen for consideration as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards, however it didn't make the cut. 9 Sigman was nominated for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in 2011 for her role in film.
